

The retailer created a mobile channel that connects payment at the pump and in-store purchases with loyalty, promotions and customer data. Built to serve a network spanning fuel stations, additional stores, parking and EV charging, the platform gives customers a single digital touchpoint while extending the retailer’s ability to engage beyond the transaction.
The programme had to connect a large, diverse operating footprint while introducing customer data, loyalty and partner participation into payment journeys that were previously centered on the physical point of sale.




NTT DATA’s Syntphony platform provided cloud sales capabilities for POS and store back office, cloud payment capabilities for mobile, in-store and corporate use, and loyalty and promotions functionality. The programme used payment as the starting point and expanded the digital relationship through customer data, couponing and a broader partner ecosystem.

The app grew from zero to more than five million users and supports 300,000 daily payments. Its footprint covers 460 stations, 2,000 additional stores, 130,000 parking spaces and 225 EV charging stations. The source also reports more than €1 million in annual revenue. Together, these results show the scale at which payments, loyalty and the retailer’s wider mobility and convenience ecosystem now operate through a single customer-facing digital channel.
