

Long-range UAV operations connected multi-sensor field evidence with a structured path from capture to review and operational follow-up.
The value of the capability depended on more than flight performance. It had to work across a dispersed physical network, under real operating constraints, and produce evidence that teams could trust and reuse.




The programme combined long-range UAVs, multi-sensor capture, mission planning and a digital workflow designed around repeatable operational use.
UAVs equipped with visual, thermal and multispectral cameras captured evidence across extended pipeline sections, including vegetation and potential external threats.
Flights were planned around terrain, permissions and operating logistics, structuring inspection into sections of approximately 20 km.
The capability extended evidence capture into locations where manual inspection is slow or operationally constrained, reducing reliance on ground observation alone.
Captured information moved through processing, review and operational follow-up, creating a reusable chain from field evidence to subsequent analysis and action.
The programme provided digital inspection evidence across an approximately 100 km pipeline corridor and improved visibility of vegetation and third-party threats. It reduced the need to rely only on ground-based observation and established an operational foundation for more automated pipeline inspection.
