This grocery retailer processed sales and stock in batches, so its stores worked with yesterday's numbers. NTT DATA redesigned the architecture for real time and added fraud, pricing and food-safety alerts, plus analytics by store and cashier.

Every square meter in a department store has a cost, and the sales team decides what fills each one. A Mexican department store retailer built a report with NTT DATA linking profitability to floor space across 13 stores and 11 divisions. Sales teams use the report to decide on space and follow each action on the floor.
