Integrated Railway Asset Management and Investment Prioritisation
A national railway infrastructure manager implemented an Asset Management Platform to support integrated, lifecycle-based management of railway infrastructure in line with ISO 55000 principles. Covering approximately 24,000 kilometres of linear railway assets and systems across signalling, electrical systems, infrastructure and telecommunications, the platform combines inventory, condition, risk, reliability, obsolescence, geolocation and economic information with algorithms and indicators that evaluate the lifecycle of railway assets. The platform turns fragmented technical data into a common decision environment for preventive and corrective maintenance, renewal and modernisation planning, while supporting higher safety and service levels, reduced unproductive time and more efficient asset control and monitoring
